Rashmi Varma said that in today’s world, anyone’s picture can be uploaded anywhere by editing the photo. She said in this matter that information has been received about the pictures going viral through social media. Additionally to her context controversies keep happening, but it does not mean that someone will defame herself.
Rashmi Varma claims that the picture has been edited and made viral to defame her. Along with the complaint in the cyber cell, a complaint has also been made to the police. In addition, BJP MLA Rashmi Varma has lodged a written complaint with the cyber cell of the Economic Offenses Unit. Based on the complaint, the subject is being looked into.
Who is the Man in the Viral Photo?
Rashmi Varma said that the name of the person seen in the picture is Sanjay Sarangpuri, 2 years ago he used to work with Rashmi Verma. But now they are not working together.
Someone edited the photo and made it viral which she could not even dream of. Sanjay Sarangpuri lives in the Agarwa police station area of Motihari district. Sanjay, a contractor by profession, is also associated with JDU.
Describing the viral picture as baseless, Sanjay Sarangpur said that someone has made it viral by editing and tampering. He said that he has friendly relations with the BJP MLA, that’s why he used to come and go. He is on bed rest due to ill health and recently he had a kidney transplant so the post does not belong to him.
Rashmi Varma’s Controversy
When she got death threats over the phone in December 2020, BJP MLA Rashmi Verma’s name came up for discussion. She had appealed to the police about being threatened with extortion of Rs 20 lakh.
During the 2015 elections, a case very much like this one was brought to light. She had reported receiving the threatening letter to the police.
The letter stated that our objective is hampered by your running for office and making nominations. Although, the person behind her threat was arrested by the police.
